Bârlad

Bârlad (also spelled Bîrlad; Romanian pronunciation: [bɨrˈlad] is a city in Vaslui County, Romania. It lies on the banks of the Bârlad River, which waters the high plains of eastern Moldavia.
At Bârlad the railway from Iași diverges, one branch skirting the river Siret, the other skirting the Prut; both reunite at Galați. Along with a maze of narrow and winding streets, Bârlad features several notable modern buildings, including the hospital administered by the Saint Spiridion Foundation of Iași.
In the vicinity of the city there are traces of a Roman camp.

    Aici sunt de fapt doua unitati- la strada Tecuciului nr. 6 este Sc Unistil Srl (care efectuiaza transportul in comun urban de calatori, pe doua linii de oras, cu cca 20 de autobuze second-hand, din care unul articulat. Pana in 1990 era autocoloana Bârlad a Intreprinderii Judetene de Transport Local IJTL Vaslui, iar intre 1990- cca 2010 era Sc Urbantrans SA, care, in momentul când a falimentat, mai ramasesera in parc cu doar doua autobuze DAC-112-UDM functionale!), iar la strada Tecuciului nr. 10 se afla Sc Autotrans SA (pana in 1991 era autocoloana de transport marfa Bârlad a ITA Vaslui).

    Desfiintata prin 2007-2008. Vagoanele de calatori seria 29-22 (dimitroave modernizate), care timp de cca 10 ani au deservit liniile de Husi si Falciu Nord HM sunt duse la reviziile din Piatra-Olt si Pitesti.
